The scalpel and its master
My name is Juerg Keller. I would like to explain here on my website my passion for paper cutting. Since the moment I saw the first paper cuts just a few days before my 4th trip around the world, my life has changed fundamentally.
Anyone who goes on a journey has things to tell... yes, but travelling also means: night after night going to bed with the same bad feeling of having spent yet another day without achieving anything! Further education is all well and good (and travel is further education to the seventh but more was needed... and much more!
Now, the world can get along very well without my paper cuts, thats true! And so it should. Since then paper cutting has given me great pleasure, huge fun. Not just a few see it the same as me otherwise they wouldnt knocking my door asking for a paper cut. So my work cannot be so bad.
With the paper cut I set out on my 4th trip arround the world. As an engineering draftsman the handling of a scalpel wasnt really new to me. In fact, I knew it better than I really wished since I only picked it up when the error had already happened.
But nobody is perfect and with a little practice almost anyone can really learn paper cutting. In the section on courses in paper cutting I offer my customers the worlds only paper-cutting - course. In a few steps I explain in words and pictures the proper handling of a scalpel and blade, show the right order from the sketch to the finished cut and invite participants to a common, large paper cut.
Dont hesitate, have a quick look and have fun by poking around!
